It can be so easy to get stuck in the rut of shorts and a tank for Summer. Just a few easy swaps can bring new life to your wardrobe. Here are 5 ways to style a tank for Summer without basic denim shorts.
I’m wearing the same v-neck pocket tank from Fair Indigo for all of these outfits. The tank is undyed, natural ivory color, and fits true to size. I’m wearing a size small.

Great for a date night with my husband. This high rise cotton skirt has pockets & is so easy to wear. The soft color palette here is one of my favorite combinations.
Perfect for running around chasing kids at the park! These shorts are the ultimate comfort with an elastic waist & deep pockets. I’m wearing my usual size 6.
The natural color of the tank is so good with linen pants! And linen is the best in summer. Easy breezy, simple summer outfit right here.
Sizing tip for Not Perfect Linen: I’m wearing S/M, which is what their size chart recommended. Read as many reviews as you can before choosing and ordering from NPL. Their sizes run differently depending on the style. I also got a S/M in another pair of pants and they are much bigger.
Love a monochromatic look. I’d also throw a chambray button down in my bag to throw on if I got chilly in the evening.
Let’s have a moment for these Nisolo mules! Swoon. My husband got them for me for Mother’s Day and I’m thrilled with them. I had to size up to an 8. I’m typically 7/7.5.
Size note on Everlane shorts: these are a 28 and fit fine. My denim ones in the same style are a 29 for a roomier fit. Read reviews – that’s how I knew not to size up in the white ones.
Best denim skirt ever! I thrifted this long denim skirt and cut a raw hem the same length as my other favorite skirt (pictured above). The fact that it’s vintage makes me love it even more.
