American Giant No-BS Pant Review
It’s no secret I’m a huge fan of American Giant’s ponte pant collection. I’m thrilled to share with you a full No-BS Pant review in all 4 styles: high rise, kick flair & mid-rise.
American Giant ethically and sustainably manufactures all of their clothing in the USA. The No BS Ponte pants are not new, but have a new name. They are made in LA out of a custom-developed blend of modal, nylon & spandex. The ponte fabric is thick and durable, soft yet structured, and it moves with you. It has a matte, non-athletic finish that looks polished enough to wear to work or to the park for a play date.

No-BS High Rise Pant for Work
I love high-rise pants. This style is perfection. I paired them with a great blouse, jacket, and mules that are work-appropriate. If your work requires you to move around a lot, like me, then you’ll love this fit.
The ponte fabric holds you in in all of the right places if you know what I mean. The waist band is thick enough to provide support, but not overly tight. The 27″ inseam is just right, sitting at the ankle bone.
Sizing: I’m wearing my usual size (6/28) in all of these pants. I’m 5’7″ with a long torso. My measurements are 28″ waist, 38″ hips, 33″ bust. I find it helpful to know a person’s measurements when figuring out my own size.
No-BS Kick Flare for the weekend
I can’t decide if the high-rise or kick flare style is my favorite. The kick-flare pants are extremely versatile. I have styled these before for work on Instagram, so decided to show a more casual option as well.
I styled these and wore this exact outfit all day for working from home, running my kids around and a casual meeting. They are so soft. I can’t get over the comfort level, but also love the shape of the kick flare opening. I think this style really balances out my shape well. I’m looking forward to styling them with boots for Fall and Winter as well.
If you are choosing one style of the No-BS Ponte Pants the Kick Flare would be my recommendation. They are so flattering. Sidenote: my sister tried these on as well and they looked amazing on her. She has a totally different shape than I do and is shorter. I’m convinced they look good on everyone.
No-BS Pant for a Mom on the go
The last style in this trio is the classic No-BS Pant that is a mid-rise, skinny leg ponte pant. I styled them for a pretty classic mom-on-the-go look. Headed to a soccer game? Weekend errands? Going for a family walk or trip to the park? This is a great pant for just that.
The t-shirt and jogger are also from American Giant and two pieces I wear often. When I show anyone this jogger in person and they touch the fabric they are always blown away and ask me for a link to shop. It seriously happens all the time. It’s thick, durable and so well made. I’ve never owned a better quality sweatshirt, hoodie, or jogger than the ones from American Giant. I’m wearing my usual size small.

No-BS Straight Pant Review
This is the newest addition to the American Giant No-BS Collection. I was excited to see straight leg ponte pants with fully functional pockets. They have a relaxed fit and slight ease to them. If you are between sizes, I recommend sticking with your smaller size. The inseam is 29″, which would be full length on more petite frames.
The No-BS straight pant is mid-rise. With my long torso, I prefer a bit higher rise. The pockets are made of a different fabric and if I’m not careful they can stick out a bit on my hips. For my body type I prefer the Kick Flare style or high rise skinny. I think this style would be better suited for someone with a straight frame vs. my more curvy body type.
Like all things American Giant makes, the No-BS straight pant is excellent quality and well made. The seams, fabric and general construction is top notch.
One last note: all of the styles have one pocket on the right side. It lays nice and flat, but is big enough to slide my phone into, which is just right for me.
American Giant is one of my all-time favorite ethical brand for their ethical manufacturing in the USA, sustainability efforts and QUALITY! I can’t express enough how great their quality is. You might have to see it to believe it. 😉
