In this Summer Capsule Wardrobe series I’m sharing the outfits I wore in real life. I’m a work from home mom and wear the same thing for work, parks, ice cream adventures, meetings and everything else in between. This post is what I wore for my slow fashion Summer Capsule Wardrobe Day 17-23.
You can see everything in my 30 piece Summer Capsule here and find all of the daily outfits here.

Summer Capsule Wardrobe Day 17
Wide leg cropped jeans are the best. That is all. This pair is 3 years old, but I’ll link a similar pair.
Quick note about this linen sleeveless top: it was ethically made by women in India who are at risk for human trafficking. What does “at risk” mean? It means that if these women don’t have access to a job that pays a living wage they will most likely be trafficked. Why? Because there’s no alternative.
Safe, living wage employment is a huge part of how we stop labor and sex trafficking. By purchasing clothes from companies, like Swahlee Co, who provide these jobs, we play a roll in freedom for other women. Use code ASHLEIGH20 for 20% off.

Summer Capsule Day 18
I wore this outfit for a date night out. I felt comfortable and chic. The shorts and top run TTS (true to size). They are both from ABLE Clothing. Use code ASHLEIGH15 to save 15%.
The block sandals were a favorite new add to my Summer Wardrobe. They were gifted to me from Wilder, a new to me ethical shoe company. I’ve enjoyed their fun “Shoesletter” and getting to know their founder better. If you sign up this year you get entered to win a $100 gift card each month, which goes a long way towards their cute shoes.

Summer Capsule Day 19
Another look that felt totally chic, modern and classic all at the same time. I’m loving high neck tanks this summer. This one is a mockneck, which will be great for layering under jackets and blazers in the Fall.
The number one question about wearing high neck tanks: which bra do I wear??? My solution is these or this.

Summer Capsule Day 20
This outfit gets the award for the most versatile and unexpected capsule look. This “skirt” is actually a dress that I folded down to wear as a skirt. You can see exactly how I did it in video form here. See how it looks as a dress here and more ways to style here.

Summer Capsule Day 21
This is the first Summer I’ve worn white shorts in a long time. This pair is a warm, cream white vs. a true white, which is a wonderful thing. I find the color to be more flattering, plus is much better for hiding minor spills or things I happen to sit on. If shorts are on your capsule wardrobe list this is a great choice. I recommend sizing up one or two sizes. Use code ASHLEIGH15 to save 15%.
This button up top is a few years old from Tradlands. This is the new, updated style. Use code ASHBECKER15 for 15% off your first purchase.

Summer Capsule Day 22
I repeated this dress a few times throughout the month. It’s well made, high quality cotton fabric and a great length. The shoulders are cut wide enough that it covers bra straps.
The whole construction of this dress is very well done, as is true of everything I’ve worn from American Giant. They are one of my top 10 favorite sustainable fashion companies. Use code SELA for 20% off your first purchase.

Summer Capsule Wardrobe day 23
I had a little mishap with the button up linen tank in my capsule and had to switch it out for a day. Lucky for me I think some rules were made to be broken and this is my Summer Capsule so I make the rules. Haha!
Either way, this is a great, comfortable Summer outfit. The paperbag shorts run true to size, if in doubt size up. They are very lightweight and more olive green than they look in this photo. Bright sunny days are tricky for photos. 🙂
