Summer Capsule, Day 3 & 4

I’m a little behind on sharing my summer capsule. Sorry, friends. Life has been busy with the kids out of school now and a lot of extra appointments in the last week. Anyway, I’m going to catch up by sharing two days at a time so all 30 outfits will be here. You can always save these posts to a Pinterest board or bookmark them for future reference and ideas. Here’s what I wore from my Summer Capsule on Days 3 & 4.

Summer Capsule, Day 3

This outfit was from Friday and I spent the day in my basement studio so I needed my warmer pieces from my capsule. This tencel and linen blend top from Tradlands is a few years old, but one of my favorite year round pieces. It’s drapey and layers so well – perfect tucked or untucked under a sweater.

Soft, broken in jeans are essential for cool days & a cardigan I can button. I kept my jewelry simple with Makena Hoops (the best hoops ever – ethically made by artisans in Kenya), my Known Necklace with my kids initials, and a 14k gold filled post earring in my second piercing (I only switch these out occasionally).

Summer Capsule, Day 4

Ok, friends. This outfit right here. I can’t help but say this one is so me. My favorite of the capsule so far! I’m such a fan of a good mock neck top. I ordered this from KOTN the end of May and put it in my capsule before it even arrived. I’m so glad I did. The ribbed texture adds some detail to an otherwise basic top and it’s SO soft (organic cotton).

Sizing tip: KOTN always runs small for me, like really small. This is one size up from my usual and it’s fitted. If you want something to be relaxed, I would suggest going up two sizes.

The pants are a linen and tencel blend, which is one of my fabric types of fabric (right up there with organic cotton) and a warm almond tone. They are not white, more like a soft cream. I’ve already received multiple questions about how shear they are and I have a tip for you:

Obviously, lighter pants are somewhat shear and these are, but not too much if that makes sense. I recommend wearing high rise nude underwear with them and you won’t see them. Don’t wear white, stick with something close to your skin tone & friends, wear a brief vs. a thong (trust me on this one). The reason I say high rise is because then you can tuck you top into your undies and it too it hidden. Can you see my black top tucked into these pants? Nope.

You can also wear a bodysuit with them this way – put your nude underwear over the bodysuit. Magic. I’m wearing these underwear and well, they are magic because they hold you in and don’t move or ride up. You’re welcome. 😉
