The Perfect Bodysuit & 5 Ways Style it

I’ve found THE perfect bodysuit & I’m going to show you 5 ways to style it. It does all the right things and none of the bad! I love the idea of the perfect bodysuit – it looks chic, stays tucked without messing with it all day, and keeps everything in if you know what I mean.

But what about the drawbacks? Does it ride up (my biggest concern is always comfort)? Is it annoying to go to the bathroom? Will it stay snapped? Those are all valid questions and I’ve experienced all of those drawbacks. I know, almost seems too good to be true, but trust me, this unicorn is real.

Size reference: it’s important to note that I’m 5’7″ and have a very long torso (another reason finding a bodysuit is tricky for me). I wear a small on top and size 6 or 28 on the bottom. I sized up in the bodysuit to a medium for extra length but could’ve worn a small.

Enter the perfect bodysuit: The Cami Bodysuit from Boody Wear. Spoiler alert: it’s just $24.95!

If you’ve never heard of Boody Wear, let me tell you a bit about them because I just read everything on their website and was pleasantly surprised by their dedication sustainability and ethics.

Boody Wear produces basics made out of organic bamboo yarn. The fabric is silky soft and breathable. Bamboo is far more sustainable than cotton and naturally regrows after being cut. It naturally repels insects and fungi that typically destroy other plants, allowing it to grow without the use of any pesticides or chemicals.

Boody Wear’s garments are made in a WRAP-certified factory, which has 12 guiding principles to ensure safe, lawful, humane, and ethical manufacturing. No child labor is used. Workers are compensated fairly including benefits.

So, not only is the bodysuit comfy, but the company is also one I feel good about supporting. Did I mention it’s only $24.95? Now onto 5 ways to wear the perfect bodysuit…

1. Mom Life On the go

Easy outfits are my jam. I have 4 kids to chase! We often head out for a walk around the neighborhood, bike ride, or play a quick round of lighting (basketball) in our back yard.

I wore this outfit IRL last week and it was perfect all day long. I tossed the jacket off for the warm afternoon and picked it back up when it cooled off. The outfit felt good in this all day and was comfy for being active with the kids.

2. Class it up

Same jeans, different jacket, accessories and shoes. This is a go-to for date night or a meeting. It’s easy for me to quickly make a few switches and change the look of my base layers.

The bodysuit is a rich black and the fibers have a subtle sheen to them almost that makes it really easy to look a bit dressed up if needed. The black and white statement earrings give it the extra edge I love for a night out.

3. Dress

Sandals

This dress was part of a clearance sale recently and the top ended up being more fitted than I expected: read snug, barely buttoned. I put the bodysuit under and it’s pretty perfect. I like the look of the dress open on top and the pop of black without any extra lines or wrinkles a tank would add. It’s a great option for Summer!

4. Button Up

Button-up

A button-up is a classic piece most of us have in our closets. I like it with the square cut of this bodysuit because it opens up the chest and makes room for some layered necklaces.

I tied mine for a little something different, but could easily button & tuck or wear completely open.

5. Base Layer

I live in WI, so base layers are a major part of my outfits 7-8 months out of the year. This sweater has small holes in the texture so I love the contrasting black under.

I’ve actually worn this bodysuit under so many outfits completely undetected. It keeps me warm without adding bulk. Here are a few more examples:

Boody Wear also has a long sleeve bodysuit that I’m on the waitlist for. I’ll be sure to share it and my thoughts on it when I get it.

Do you wear bodysuits? Have you found one that’s comfortable? What’s your favorite way to wear it?
